Several compounds have been synthesised that can act as auxin transport inhibitors, including NPA (1-N-naphthylphthalamic acid), CTD (2-carboxyphenyl-3-phenylpropane-1,3-dione), TIBA (2,3,5-triiodobenzoic acid), and NOA (1-napthoxyacetic acid). The compounds are auxin efflux inhibitors that block polar transport by preventing auxin efflux.
